The Pastoral Policy is designed to help students attain academic excellence,
sensitize them to
the environment around them, and to cope with various
emotional experiences.
Pastoral Care is
extended to both week boarders and regular boarders, and our counselors are actively involved
in mentoring the students. Mentoring is available
for all students, regardless of which grade they
are studying in.

In primary school, the grade teachers are responsible for maintaining discipline in their respective grades. The counselors, meanwhile, play a significant part in ensuring the emotional and psychological well-being of the children in their care. The counselors also act as mentors to the teachers and help them to understand the emotional and psychological needs of the students.
Both the students and the faculty at Redbridge International Academy are divided into 4 Houses: Aquas, Aeris, Ignis and Terra. Each house is headed by a Housemaster or Housemistress who is in charge of implementing the Pastoral system for their respective House. Every teacher is also a Tutor in a house, and is responsible for a group of students.
The Tutor will be the first point of contact for any concerns related to a student. The Tutor
interacts with his/her students every morning, takes attendance, and meets them for an hour
every week. This hour is used to determine their emotional well-being, academic performance,
and any other concern. Resident Tutors have additional responsibilities such as study-hour
supervision, academic support, meal supervision, and weekend activities.
